- Wash the new gasket in warm, soapy water and dry it.
- Press it evenly into the groove all the way around.
- Test with water only before cooking food.

Fagor auto-vent and lid lock problems
If the lid lock or auto-vent sticks, the cooker may not seal or may not show when it is pressurized. Clean it with warm water and a soft brush, and check the small rubber parts for wear.
If a lock or valve part is broken and you cannot find an exact replacement, stop using the cooker. A pressure cooker with a faulty safety device is not safe to use.
Do not use generic valves that are not made for your model, and never block or weigh down a safety valve. If in doubt, replace the cooker.
